Cala Ratjada in Mallorca is a popular holiday resort on the northeast coast of the Spanish island. The city belongs to the municipality of Capdepera and is located about 80 kilometers east of Palma, the capital of Mallorca. The name "Cala Ratjada" comes from the Catalan dialect and means "ray bay", which points to the rich maritime past of the place.
